Overview

Batu Belah Boon Hua Restaurant (汶华肉骨茶) Bak Kut Teh stands as a notable destination for bak kut teh enthusiasts in Klang, Selangor. Nestled in Lorong Pauh Kijang, Taman Bahagia, this Chinese eatery has earned a loyal following thanks to its authentic flavors and varied menu offerings.

The restaurant’s main attraction is its bak kut teh, served in both traditional soup and dry variations. The claypot versions, whether thick or regular broth, deliver a rich herbal complexity that is deeply satisfying. The dry bak kut teh, infused with a distinct dried squid flavor, offers a unique twist that elevates the standard recipe. Pork selections such as tender pork belly, cartilage, and pork knuckle provide a welcomed diversity in textures and flavors for diners seeking hearty options.

Beyond the centerpiece dishes, vegetable delights and classics like Nasi Lemak Aunty complement the experience, catering to a variety of palates. The herbal soup base, trumpeted for its depth and aroma, creates a warm, comforting embrace especially appealing to those who appreciate traditional Chinese medicinal elements in their food.

Service at Batu Belah Boon Hua excels with attentive staff maintaining smooth queue management through a clear numbering system. Such organization helps mitigate the typical crowds drawn by the restaurant’s reputation. However, the seating arrangement and cleanliness reveal room for improvement. Despite the bustling atmosphere, patrons have noted concerns over hygiene and disorderly table setups, which could impact the overall dining comfort, particularly for larger groups or families.

The location offers moderate parking options, though this appears to be inconsistent depending on the time of visit. While some guests find ample space, others have expressed challenges in finding convenient parking, making early arrival advisable.

This restaurant appeals primarily to bak kut teh lovers and those interested in authentic Malaysian Chinese cuisine. It embodies a balance of flavorful tradition and practical dining with an emphasis on taste and affordability over fine dining aesthetics. Batu Belah Boon Hua remains a must-visit spot for individuals seeking genuine bak kut teh in Klang with a reliable quality and a distinct culinary character.

1) Great tasty BKT - both the thick broth, regular claypot versions are especially great 2) The dried version is also really good, with really thick dried squid taste in the gravy 3) Great service from the crew, very attentive 4) Good queue system, with numbering to avoid any patrons from jumping the line 5) Reasonable prices 6) Overall seating arrangement, really messy 7) Hygiene is a major concern, as the patrons discarded the used tissue everywhere on the floor. Imagine some day if major outbreak such as COVID19 returns 8) Limited car parking

Parking place a lot. Food wise is good! So tender and soft. But I wanna order pork tripe and ribs no more. Then we only pork cartilage(soft bones) & pork belly, it’s so good!! Soup also full of herbal flavour and I like it. Just quite hot.

This is the hidden germ of the century. Broth is so tasty and zakui is so crispy. Drawbacks is it is warm during noon/afternoon. But the foods will make me forgo this.
